The Little Things

Dear Georgie,

I wanted to make a little note to you today to let you know how lucky I feel to be your mommy. I get up with you each morning so excited to get you out of bed and start our day of adventures. I can hardly stand being away from you for even a second as I fear that I will miss just the smallest discovery, achievement, smile, cry, laughter, hug or just your sweet presence. I feel so blessed to discover the world through you my darling. It amazes me just how beautiful life is watching you discover it everyday.

It has been an uneventful day today. No special places to be, no big surprises, in fact we haven't even left the house today and yet I have to say Today is one of my favorite days I get to spend with you. I enjoy these days because it is our special time together to cuddle, make lunch together, read a few of your favorite books, watch you play with peanut and buddy and all of your many toys. Right now you are talking so much. You love to tell me what you see in the book, run around and act like a pirate (yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me), make me sit down and share your snack with you at your little table in our kitchen.

Right now you are taking your nap which give me this time to reflect on just how wonderful and special this time is with you. Thank you my little sweet heart for giving me this chance to be your mommy. I love you and am so happy to have this opportunity to watch you grow.

Happy Anniversary Baby

Can you believe it has already been 9 years honey. I am so over joyed that we have made it through all that we have. Our life is pretty amazing and I feel so blessed that it is with you and Georgie. Thank you for always being there for me, for being my rock, my shoulder to cry on, a partner to laugh with and a wonderful father to a beautiful little girl. I love you my wonderful husband. Happy 9 years to us!!!! Cheers!

1st Day of Preshcool

Today was Georgie's 1st Day of official Preschool. I say official because for the last 1/2 of year we have been going to a parent and me participation class at our preschool and it has been a blast. Today she met her teacher Ms. Carro who she will have for the next 9 months. We are so excited because many of her friends from her previous classes are in her class this year.

I can't believe my little 2 year old is so grown up already.

Oh My!!

Well it has been a year since I have posted anything on this blog. Since I have become obsessed with creative blogs and reading my friends blogs, I thought it was time to update mine. So Zylstra Family this is for you. Hope you are happy that I made my deadline before it reached a year.

Moving On

Today was Georgie's last day of her preschool class. She just loved her teacher Ms. Maureen and Ms. N. We had a fun pot luck party to celebrate our little scholars. I remember back the 1st day of this class and how hard it was for me to leave her at school for a whole 2 hours without me. Now I look back and have seen in just the past few months how much she learned in such a short time. She already can count to 10, loves painting, playing and getting dirty, singing with HamoRobyn on Thursdays, playing and learning with her class mates Reese, Leah, Monet, Julian, Benedict, Desmond, Wesley, Marlow and Mattia. I am so excited for the Fall semester to start so that she can continue her love for learning through this amazing program at the JCC. Thanks Ms. Maureen for giving our Georgie Girl a wonderful and loving experience to learn and grow her talents.

Georgie's 1st Dance Concert

Our little dancer made her stage debut yesterday. She was quite the little diva in her sassy outfit. Georgie's takes a class at elevation studios called mommy and me. It is such a cute little class full of adorable little tiny dancers. This is the 1st year they did this class and her teacher Alex (also her auntie) decided to put these little cuties in the show dancing to "Single Ladies".

Although this is Georgie's favorite song on earth right now she was to afraid to make it out on stage with her other single ladies friends. She made it out for about 10 seconds only to turn her back and start crying and then ran off stage. She is still under 2 years old and all of her other friends in class are 3 years old. So I think she did a pretty good job just making it out on stage for her 1st dance concert.

Congratulation to Alex and Robert who were married last night up in L.A. The wedding was spectacular!!! Alex was picture perfect and just glowed as she walked down the isle. They had so many friends and family attending that they decided to do it up Hollywood style and through a huge party at Blvd 3 night club. It was so much fun you felt like you were attending a Hollywood primer party. I was so surprised how they were able to create such a romantic and intimate ceremony and then in a matter of minutes they turned it into a raging night club full of drinks, food and lots and lots of dancing and entertainment. I will never forget this night and my hope for you guys is that you will never forget it either.
